Information!

Otago Polytechnic Students

Dear readers this web site has been set up to assist and provide up to date information to Mine Workers within the mining industry to manage work related and everyday health issues they and their families encounter. All the information gathered on this web site is a guide only and is not intended to replace someone going to their GP and seeking professional medical advice. We encourage all employees if they are sick or unwell to see their professional medical practitioner.

Health Promotion Project - Year 3 Nursing Students

Hi mining workforce,

In 2014 Oceanagold and the Otago Polytechnic teamed up to look into ways of improving health and wellbeing at Oceanagold Macraes site. Madeleine and Sarah, and three other groups of 3rd year Nursing students from Otago Polytechnic working alongside Pauline Carruthers (RN) and in conjunction with Oceanagold have developed strategies to improve the health status of the Macraes mine workforce. We have created this webpage as a resource to help you to take control of your health and wellness.
